Beaucarnea Recurvata (Ponytail Palm)
The ‘Ponytail Palm’ is neither a palm nor a tree—it’s actually a member of the Agave family, native to the southeastern desert of Mexico. The bulb-like trunk is used to store water and the long leaves that grow from the top of the trunk resemble a ponytail. It’s a drought tolerant, slow-growing plant and requires very little care. This plant is ideal for people with very little time or who travel regularly.
LIGHT: Bright, semi-direct sunlight is best.
WATER: Keep soil relatively dry. Water spring through fall, allowing the top inch or two of soil to dry completely before re-watering. Water sparingly during winter.
All plants are curbside pickup or local delivery only! Pot not included but we do offer free potting service with purchase of pot!
While we make every effort to display our plants as accurately as possible, there may be subtle differences from what is pictured.
