Calathea Lancifolia (Rattlesnake)

$24.00

Native to Brazil they are also known as the ‘Rattlesnake’ plant and are a colorful member of the prayer plant family, Marantaceae. Calatheas are often called 'prayer plants' because of their unique leaf movements - raising and lowering their leaves from day to night as a part of their circadian rhythm. It is theorized that these movements are meant to follow the sun and catch as much light as possible- an essential trait for a forest-floor-dwelling plant.

LIGHT: Medium to bright indirect light - dappled light is best.

WATER: Water moderately spring through fall, allowing the top inch or two of soil to dry completely before re-watering. Mist often.

All plants are curbside pickup or local delivery only! Pot not included but we do offer free potting service with purchase of pot!

While we make every effort to display our plants as accurately as possible, there may be subtle differences from what is pictured.
